  • Aesop’s Fables

    Wolfie, Syd, Barry and Harriet invite you into their magical world where anything is possible when you use your imagination. Whether it’s The Tortoise and the Hare or The Boy Who Cried Wolf, everyone knows at least one of Aesop’s classic fables. In this charming production, storytellers use music, movement and drama to bring these famous fables to life. Youngsters will enjoy discovering life’s big lessons in this delightful revue.

  • Attacks Lab

    Part of the PuSh Performing Arts Festival, Attacks Lab is a curated series of events aimed at established and emerging theatre directors and practitioners. Over the course of the festival, there will be a series of investigations, contemplations and workshops with some of the most daring voices in contemporary theatre. Local and international directors will engage in a rigorous dialogue about the craft of directing in this quickly changing field with an aim to inspire and challenge our community’s artistic leaders.     Licensed. Chilled. Intimate. Club PuSh is a dynamic space that is all about experimentation: cutting-edge work suited for a less traditional, more informal venue. Marquee acts begin at 8pm, with salon-style work that is compact, portable and highly performative. Most Friday and Saturday nights include Late Nights at Club PuSh at 10pm. Club PuSh is the social hub of the festival—a place to grab a drink in a chill environment and chat with other festival goers while taking in an array of artists from the Pacific Northwest and beyond.   • Hanukkah in Chelm

    Kol Halev Performance Ensemble presents a feast of holiday fun with Hanukkah in Chelm , a musical comedy featuring original songs and choreography! In this fantastical fable, the villagers of Chelm try to get Hanukkah to last all year long instead of just eight days. Needless to say, complications and hilarity ensue.     It’s 1905. New York City. 35-year-old Esther is an independent African-American woman who makes a good living sewing exquisite undergarments and corsets for brides-to-be. But she yearns to wear one of her own creations. When a mysterious stranger from the Caribbean strikes up a pen-pal relationship, the romance that blooms promises to fulfill all her dreams.

    You are invited to a party populated by home stereo speakers each with their own quirky personality, some warm and welcoming, others evasive and a few whose fickle nature will leave you bewildered and bemused.  First presented in Belfast, Northern Ireland, this interactive performance installation the explores notions of personal space using interactive technology and contemporary performance.  No one person’s experience will be the same.  For those who are intrigued and sufficiently curious, come visit us at The Anderson Street Space for a look behind the scenes at the “man behind the curtain”

    Off-White Christmas takes a humorous, alternative look at Christmas that turns the snowy-white holiday on its head (hence “off-white”). Grab drinks, sit back, and prepare to laugh as the improv players explore Christmastime cultural phenomena and stereotypes.

    Off-White Christmas also features a one-act improvised musical, based on an audience member’s Christmas wish – narrated by jolly old Saint Nick himself.
